Salmon tartare
This recipe makes for 20 servings.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound skinless fresh salmon fillet
- 1⁄2 pound smoked salmon, thickly sliced
- 1⁄3 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (3 limes)
- 1⁄3 cup minced shallots (2 shallots)
- 2 tbsp good olive oil
- 1⁄4 cup minced fresh dill (I couldn’t find dill, so I used chives)
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
Mix all the ingredients grossly, it shouldn’t be a paste, cover with a plastic wrap and refrigerate for a few hours for the salmon to marinate.
My test: The recipe was awesome, everybody loved the tartare, I served it with toast and topped with sprouted seeds.
